The deadline to enter the upcoming United States Tennis Association National Women’s Senior Hard Court Championships is Sunday, April 30.
The national tennis tournament, which will feature top players from across the country in the 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90 and over age divisions, is scheduled to be played Monday, May 15 through Sunday, May 21 at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, 2000 Spindrift Drive.
Events in the USTA National Women’s Senior Hard Court Championships will include singles and doubles. USTA gold, silver, or bronze balls will be awarded to the first, second, and third-place finishers in all women’s events.

Main draw singles matches will be the best of three tiebreak sets. The Coman Tiebreaker will be used throughout the tournament. Consolation matches will consist of two full sets and a match tiebreaker in the case of split sets.
“We are delighted to host the best competitors in the United States in these five age divisions for next month’s USTA National Women’s Senior Hard Court Championships,” said tournament director Bill Kellogg. “I encourage all interested players to submit their entry information as soon as possible before Sunday’s deadline.”
The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club’s 50th Annual Men’s Senior Championships will also take place the same week in conjunction with the women’s events and will include both singles and doubles for 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, and 85 and over age groups. Although the men’s events are not national championships, they will feature many senior players who regularly compete in national tournaments.
The USTA National Women’s Senior Hard Court Championships are part of the International Tennis Federation World Tennis Masters Tour which provides a range of team and individual singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events for each five-year age increment from 30-plus to 90-plus.

The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club welcomes tennis enthusiasts to view the tournament and will offer free admission to spectators for the entire tournament. Tournament attendees and spectators may dine on-site at the Club’s Snack Bar and Club Dining restaurant during the tournament. On-site parking is available for a nominal fee.
The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club started each of these events and has hosted them since its inception. Designated one of the Top 50 Tennis Resorts in the world by Tennis Resorts Online, the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club’s reputation as a top tennis destination started in 1942 when it attracted its first major tournament, the Pacific Coast Men’s Doubles Championship.
