Linda Morton has been a student of art all her life.
After a career teaching law and raising a family, she has devoted her post-retirement years to painting full time. Much of her work is figurative, in acrylic, oil, or a combination of the two. Her colorful, expressive brush strokes with an emphasis on light and shadow comprise a style known as “Contemporary Impressionism.”
She has shown her work in several galleries throughout San Diego and has garnered several awards for her paintings. She also teaches painting to beginning students at her studio in La Mesa.
Morton has worked tirelessly for the Foothills Art Association and currently serves as 1st vice president. Her work for Foothills is invaluable.
Morton is honored to be selected as a Featured Artist at Foothills Art Association for December 2022. The title of her show is “Women in the Light.”
