When Guy Fieri comes to feature your diner in an episode of “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” you know you are awesome. But we locals knew that from the get-go about the Studio Diner in Kearny Mesa.

A dream of mega-producer Stu Segall, think mega shows and movies “Renegade,” “Silk Stalkings,” “Flying By,” a real Hollywood south with stars galore from James Brolin to Billy Ray Cyrus, at the Studio Diner, the real stars are the vibe, the delish comfort food and you…Yes, you might get a star sighting too!

The Stu of Studio Diner was born outside of Boston and decided at first it would be fun to provide diner food to his casts and crews. That genius concept grew to a 130 seat diner for everyone to enjoy.

Some star intel. “Renegade” star Branscombe Richmond would order up the Branscombe bobby burger with extra hot, hot sauce, and kosher onions on a sesame seed bun. Playmate, actress, and local beauty Shauna Sand said, “Definitely the best memories of my life! Full of magical dreams and happiness!”

Reopened after two years…and opening soon for dinner too. Lights, camera… action!

And First Friday Art Walks in La Jolla have upped the social fun as La Jolla galleries open their doors for festive fun with a little food and cheers on the side. A great time to discover and invest in the next big art find. Think local artist Faye Tassviri, whose paintings are being bought up quickly. The next Van Gogh?

‘Til next time!
