Cass Street post office needs driver’s-side drop boxes
Pacific Beach needs a curbside letter drop box where mail can be deposited from the driver’s side.
I have watched as people park beside the ones on Cass Street (east of the post office), get out in traffic and walk in front of their cars to drop off their mail.
I have given this a lot of study and have come to the conclusion that the best solution is to make the alley south of the post office one way going west and install a drop box on the south side of the alley near Cass Street.
Do you have a better solution?
I have tried to contact the postmaster or someone in charge to get their opinion but have been unsuccessful.

Beach-ban vote should only be open to District 2 residents
Our City Council wants to put the alcohol ban on the November ballot. I would like to see the ballot initiative on the ballot only for the beach area, such as District 2.
Even though the rest of the city enjoys the beaches, they do not have to live with what happens at the beach, (the trash, vomiting, urine, fighting, crime, etc.) once they return home. These lovely consequences are left for the residents who choose to live near the beaches.
Drinking alcohol was a wonderful privilege given to the citizens of San Diego. Unfortunately, a few thousand ruined it for the rest. Since we cannot rely on people who party at the beaches to monitor their own behavior and that of their friends, the residents in each separate district have to take the action necessary to restore a hospitable way of life.
