I would just like to thank all the volunteers ” close to 140 of them ” for helping the Ocean Beach MainStreet Association with the 28th Annual OB Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off Festival.
We had tons of compliments about the fair. People loved the chili cook-off and all the stages and bands. Artists Alley was bustling all day long.
There was a really good vibe during the whole event. The trolleys were packed and we are looking at getting another trolley for next year. We can’t thank you all enough for volunteering.
A special thanks to Yvonne Cruz for chairing the event again this year. Great job. We are also very grateful for all those merchants who gave up their parking lots for the festival. We couldn’t do it without you.
Thanks also to all the merchants who have donated to the raffle. As you know, the street fair raises funds for the Fourth of July fireworks show off the OB Pier.
See you all on Wednesday the 4th. Those of you who want to paddle out to the end of the pier … please stay away from the end of the pier or the fire marshal will stop the fireworks display again this year until all boats, kayaks, surfers et cetera are a safe distance from the end of the pier.
