Bishop’s girls lacrosse beats La Jolla High They say all streaks end at some point and time, and that was the case last week in a local girls scholastic lacrosse match-up. The Bishop’s School (9-3) scored its first win over La Jolla High in six years with a 10-8 victory. Bishop’s was led in scoring by Haley Geier (two goals), Sophia Muller (two goals), Caroline Markham (two goals); and Emily Reit, Bianca Pham, Megan Murry, Ali Bishop and Elyse Tierney with one goal each. Dana Christianson recorded five saves for the Lady Knights. “We played as a whole team with energy from our bench to the field,” Bishop’s head coach Meghan Carr said. “We had eight different scorers, which shows that the girls trust each other to take care of the ball.” Margaret Nettleton paced La Jolla High with four goals.
