The local scholastic boys tennis season continues to serve up victories for several local teams.
La Jolla High and Head Coach Lenny Lee entered action this week with a record of 5-1 (1-0 Western League).
“We’ve had a good team effort and I think we’re playing better as a team this year,” Lee said.
Lee noted the singles efforts to date of Thomas Keiffer and P.J. Woolley; along with the doubles tandems of Adam Furman/Trey VanBuskirk, Theo Lee/Daniel Latiduf, and Max Einhorn/Harper Alan.
Heading into action this week, the three duos were a combined 42-6 in doubles action.
“We have very deep doubles teams this season,” Lenny Lee added.
After a pair of losses the previous week, La Jolla Country Day (LJCD) School rebounded last week with a convincing 14-4 win over Army-Navy.
Army-Navy’s only points were due to LJCD changing around one of the singles and one of the doubles teams after the first round, therefore forfeiting those four points.
The Bishop’s School dropped a 12-6 decision to league rival Francis Parker in action last Tuesday afternoon.
The Knights return to play on April 4 when they visit San Dieguito Academy.
