The Rock Church in Point Loma will host a free community health fair on Sunday, June 9, featuring an Ask-A-Doctor session, cholesterol screenings, blood pressure screenings and other medical assessments. The Rock’s inaugural health fair will bring together representatives from more than 30 medical organizations, including Sharp Health Care, to provide free health screenings that will also cover blood sugar, body-mass index and tobacco use. The screening takes about 15 minutes to complete, with results provided immediately by a health coach. Participants can also receive medical information from knowledgeable resources and an Ask-a-Doctor booth for a one-on-one meeting with a physician.
