SAN DIEGO – Mayor Jerry Sanders issued a memo to remind the public that the fall and winter water regulations went into effect Nov. 1 and will remain in effect through the winter until May 31. San Diego’s mandatory water-savings rules dictate that each water station can only run for seven minutes per watering. In addition, residents may only water their lawns before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m. and this can only be done three days per week. Watering schedules are as follows:
Odd-numbered addresses: can water Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays Even-numbered addresses: Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays Apartments, condos and businesses: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays For a complete list of all the city’s water rules or to view exceptions for those with water-efficient sprinkler systems visit www.sandiego.gov/water/conservation/drought/droughtlevels2.shtml.
