LA JOLLA — A black female in her 30s entered Dan’s Nail Spa, 8008 Girard Ave., and displayed an Airsoft bb-pellet rifle at about 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 16, according to a report from the San Diego Police Department (SDPD). She ordered the employees and customers to lay face down on the ground. The suspect took cash from the business and several customers before leaving the store and walking down the street. The business owner and an employee followed the suspect and tackled her, according to the SDPD report. Some witnesses nearby helped hold the suspect down until police arrived. No injuries were reported. The SDPD Robbery division is investigating.
