Passport to Life, a career fair for juvenile offenders, will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19 at San Diego City College, 1313 Park Blvd., from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is open to youth ages 14-18 who are on probation or have probation history. It will focus on higher education and work-readiness skills and will give employers and youth the opportunity to meet face to face. The event also gives youth the chance to see what opportunities are available for future employment and education. The program will begin with an inspirational keynote address from Foodnetwork personality Chef Jeff. More than 800 youth are expected to attend the event.
