PACIFIC BEACH — A vehicle struck several parked cars and a transformer on the 2200-block of Garnet Avenue early in the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 27, said a San Diego Police Department (SDPD) spokesperson. “We deemed it a momentary outage,” said Allison Zaragoza, spokeswoman for San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E). The power went out at 2:43 a.m. and was quickly restored to the 3,500 customers affected. However, one traffic light and one area business remained without power until 8:50 a.m. SDG&E crewmembers worked on the damaged transformer from 4:45 to 8:50 a.m., when power was restored to all affected customers. SDPD Traffic Division is handling the case.
