PACIFIC BEACH — A power outage affected homes and businesses in Pacific Beach this morning, Sept. 17. Mylar balloons becoming tangled in power lines caused the outage, said San Diego Gas and Electric spokeswoman Allison Zaragoza. The disturbance in power affected 2,864 customers. The outage affected those between the Pacific Ocean and Ingraham Street and from Van Nuys Street to Nantasket Court, Zaragoza said. The incident was reported at approximately 8:45 a.m. and power was restored nearly an hour later.
