The origin of an Aug. 9 fire that caused $150,000 in damages to Juice Kaboose on Fay Avenue near Pearl Street has not been determined. Maurice Luque, spokesperson for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, said the cause of the blaze remains under investigation. “It is suspicious in nature,” Luque said, declining to disclose further details. Flames were reported at 3:40 a.m. and the fire was extinguished less than 10 minutes later, Luque said.
