Victim of apparent fall was Ocean Beach woman The death of a woman whose body was found at the base of the cliffs near Carmelo Street and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard on Sunday has been ruled an accident, according to a statement from the county Medical Examiner’s Office. The woman was identified as 41-year-old Kristan Stephanie Wagner of Ocean Beach. The body was discovered around 1:40 p.m. Nov. 30 by a passerby, according to officials with Lifeguard Services. Paramedics declared Wagner was dead at the scene. Wagner was wearing denim pants, a short-sleeve shirt, a hooded Roxy-brand sweatshirt and athletic shoes, according to a medical examiner’s statement. A person walking along the 800 block of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard called 9-1-1 when she spotted the Wagner’s body, according to the examiner’s statement. “Her state of body indicated that (the victim) had been there for a while,” said Lifeguard Services Lt. Andy Lerum. An initial police investigation found the woman was not the victim of foul play, according to San Diego police spokesperson Mònica Muñoz. ‘Shop with a Cop’ to bring holiday joy to children SeaWorld, Target and local law enforcement agencies will team up to give some children an early holiday treat this season. On Saturday, Dec. 6, more than 300 pre-selected children will enjoy breakfast and a private dolphin show at SeaWorld before their $100 shopping spree through the aisles of the Target department store at 3245 Sports Arena Blvd. The festivities are all part of this year’s “Shop With a Cop,” an event now in its 15th year. After enjoying breakfast and the “Dolphin Discovery” show, the children will ride with designated officers in police cars with sirens blasting and lights flashing from SeaWorld to Target for the shopping spree. Children shop not only for themselves but for family members as well, said event organizers. The event provides holiday gifts for less fortunate families and provides the children with a positive interaction with local law enforcement officers. For more information, contact SeaWorld’s public relations at (619) 226-3929, or visit www.seaworldsandiego.com.
