Designer to host makeover for military family A Point Loma home interior design store has narrowed the field to four finalists in a contest for a complete living-room makeover in honor of a deserving military family in San Diego County. At Home with Laurie Ann is hosting the “Always Ready, Always Faithful, Always Courageous” living-room makeover contest to thank military personnel for their service by supporting their families. Store owner and author Laurie Ann McMillin Ray will give all four finalists families a copy of her book, “At Home with Laurie Ann – A Decorator’s Guide: Turn the Place You Live Into the Home You Love,” but only one of the four families will be awarded the makeover. Alhough the contest originally called for only three finalists, McMillin Ray said she was hard-pressed to whittle down the list to three The Marine Corps finalists include Capt. Jason Actis’ family in Oceanside, Sgt. Daniel Myrick’s family in Fallbrook, and Lance Cpl. Justine Wallaces’ family in National City. The Navy finalist is Chief Warrant Officer Danny Jones’ family in Chula Vista.   For more information, visit www.laurieann.com.   Point Loma Community Bank now Sunrise Bank Four Capitol Bancorp affiliate banks, including Point Loma Community Bank in Point Loma, recently consolidated bank charters and are now operating as Sunrise Bank, according to local officials. The change took effect March 8. The three other banks involved in the consolidation were Bank of Escondido, Sunrise Bank of San Diego and Sunrise Community Bank in Palm Desert. All four banks remain at their original locations but function as individual branches of the Sunrise Bank system. Sunrise Bank is run by chairman and CEO Scott Andrews and president Mike Peters. At the local level, Sunrise Bank is located at 1350 Rosecrans St. Tony Calabrese will serve as the Point Loma regional president. Additionally, Randy Cundiff will serve as the San Diego regional president and Stu Bailey as the Palm Desert regional president.
