Belmont Park will stage its fourth annual Easter egg hunt on the beach, as well as a hunt within the park itself, on Easter Sunday, March 27. There will be even more prizes and fun this year. What’s more San Diego than an Easter egg hunt on the beach?
About 10,000 eggs will be filled with candy and vouchers for single rides, single attractions and other park goodies. There will also be 25 hidden Golden Eggs that feature unlimited ride passes and free days at the park. There will be two ways to brunch on the beach – enjoy a special holiday meal with your family at the WaveHouse buffet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or at Draft from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The egg hunts on the beach will start at 9 a.m. and will cost $5 per child. Children must be registered online prior to the hunt at belmontpark.com.easter. Kids will be broken up by age groups. The breakdown:
9 a.m. – 0-3 years old;
10 a.m. – 4-5 years old;
11 a.m. – 6-8 years old;
Noon – 9-12 years old.
There are 150 spots available in each age slot. The hunt in the park, free to children, will start at noon and will go until supplies last. Guests will hop from store to store collecting eggs from various stops in the park, such as the Coaster Museum, the arcade, various midway games, the Sweet Shoppe and Sun Diego. Let the photographer capture your family fun with the Easter Bunny for free from 2 to 4 p.m. in the food court area of the amusement park.
