The salon has made recent improvements and updates thanks to the new owner, Marcia Wood, who purchased the business in 2016. “We still have the classic rock and roll theme, but we have upgraded our equipment, products, and lighting to improve the quality and it makes it more vibrant,” she said. Wood is passionate about art and music, which the salon vividly displays; however, something new that she brings to the business is an inclusive and equalized culture, which promotes many social movements. “Having a child that identifies as gender-neutral makes it really important that our salon reflects gender-neutral pricing and treatment,” Wood said. All of the stylists have their own pricing that depends on the length of hair, the amount of hair, and the products used; never on gender. The salon is also a proud member of The Professional Beauty Association, supporting the “cut it out” program, which helps raise awareness on domestic and emotional abuse. Additionally, to honor those who have served in the military and their families, the salon offers a military discount of 15 percent off.
