An unknown suspect entered the Subway store at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 31. The clerks were busy with other customers. The suspect sat down and waited. When the rush-hour crowd died down, one of the clerks walked into the back. The other clerk was next to the register. The suspect approached him and produced a demand note. He exposed the butt of a small handgun and also a hunting knife with a black handle and a silver blade. The other clerk came out from the back and opened the register. The suspect took an unknown amount of money. The suspect then left in a westerly direction. The suspect was described as a black male adult, mid 50s, 5-feet 10-inches tall, about 160 pounds. He had buzz cut hair, black stubble with grey in it, grey ball cap, black zip up sweatshirt with a grey interior hoodie, and black pants. San Diego Police Robbery Detectives are investigating. Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
