The La Jolla building home to Harry’s Coffee Shop and an adjacent building have been sold for a combined price of nearly $9 million, but the landmark restaurant known for its folksy charm isn’t going anywhere.
“The Harry’s parcel did sell, however we have a long lease,” said Harry’s owner John Rudolph, a former professional golfer who still plays high-level amateur events.
Rudolph also owns Cass Street Bar and Grill at 4612 Cass St., which he bought a couple of years ago and is gradually working on making improvements.
Harry’s and the retail shop of Everett Stunz at 7545-7553 Girard Ave. will remain in place under the new owner of the 7,649 square-foot building, John F. Jaeger and Joanne S. Jaeger Revocable Trust and Christian M. Jaeger Irrevocable Trust.
Bill Shrader of Colliers International San Diego Region’s Urban Property Team represented the seller of both buildings, Rancho Girard, LLC. He also represented the buyer of the 6,411 square-foot building at 7527-7535 Girard Ave., YDNL, LLC. Tenants are Dewhurst & Associates and Salon Spruce.
