Lyle (Skip) Tracy, 69, peninsula resident

Lyle (Skip) Tracy “” beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend “” passed away suddenly of a heart attack Jan. 9.
Tracy was born Aug. 30, 1937. He worked in the aircraft industry at Rohr, Convair, Ryan and many others between 1955 and 2000, when he retired. Tracy loved to fish and spent many happy days on Point Loma’s sport fishing boats and along the bays of San Diego and Baja California, Mexico. He collected almost anything and everything.
Tracy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lorita; sons Kelly and Terry; granddaughter Cari Anne; sister Sharon Tracy McPherson; nephew Dale; and many friends he met along the way.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., at the Masonic Lodge in Ocean Beach, 1711 Sunset Cliffs Blvd.
Donations to the family can be made at any Washington Mutual Bank by asking for the Lyle E. Tracy Benevolent Fund.
