
A 30-year-old male victim met two Hispanic male suspects on the trolley in Old Town about 3:30 p.m. on March 16. They went to the south alley of 1100 Thomas Avenue for an unknown reason. The victim and one suspect were in a carport while the other stood in the alley. A short time later the suspect ran out of the carport and met the other suspect and they ran away southbound in the alley. The victim was stabbed six times in the back. The victim was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. Police responded to a fight at Thomas Avenue and Mission where they determined one of the suspects in the fight was the suspect of the stabbing. Anthony Valenzuela, 18, was arrested for the stabbing.
