The Mission Bay High cross country program recently completed what was a quite successful season for the boys and girls. The Bucs had six runners who won all City League League honors this year. They were: Trevor Reichenberg (sophomore), Sean Pavone (junior), TK Berhe (sophomore); Gina Queck (freshman), Linda Giffing (freshman), and Leilani Ferguson (sophomore). In Division IV, of the San Diego CIF Cross Country Championships, the boys came in 10th place and the girls came in eighth place, respectively. These were both improvements over last year’s results. Queck qualified in the San Diego Championship race for the State Championships in Fresno, where she came in 42nd place out of 197 finishers. “We will have almost all of our runners coming back in 2018 and therefore look forward to an even more successful cross country season next year,” Mission Bay head coach Barry Dancher remarked.
