1980s new-wave combo Bow Wow Wow’s rhythmic sound may not have been as big a deal on the charts in the U.S. as at home in the United Kingdom, but its influence has been huge. Created in England during the early 1980s by punk svengali Malcolm McLaren — the same man who brought us the Sex Pistols – notable bands ranging from The Red Hot Chili Peppers to No Doubt count Bow Wow Wow as important to their sounds.
