Former U.S. secretary of labor to speak on income inequality

More than 500 community leaders across San Diego will meet on the issue of income inequality throughout the region and nation on Monday, April 13 at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Sherwood Auditorium, 700 Prospect St. in La Jolla, at 4:30 p.m. The event will feature an appearance by Robert Reich, U.S. secretary of labor under President Bill Clinton, and include a screening of Reich’s award-winning ‘Inequality for All’ documentary followed by a Q&A forum with the former secretary. Named one of the most successful cabinet secretaries of the century by Time magazine, Reich seeks to demonstrate how America’s growing income gap threatens the viability of the American workforce and the foundation of democracy. The event, titled “Robert Reich, Inequality for All,” is sponsored by The San Diego Foundation Center for Civic Engagement and the UCSD Blum Cross-Border Initiative.
