A 55-year tradition is at hand as La Jolla United Methodist Church is set to hold its annual rummage sale at the church on Saturday, March 14 at 8:30 a.m. (chair Margie Herrick is pictured). More than 50 volunteers worked to prepare the church campus for the event, which benefits several causes sponsored by the United Methodist Women), including missions for women and children and the church’s nursery school scholarship fund. The sale features numerous bargains, hamburgers and homemade cakes on the patio and chats with neighbors and friends. Everything from furniture to housewares, clothing to Christmas items (in their own special department), books, toys, furniture, jewelry and goods for infants and children must go. The church is at 6063 La Jolla Blvd. For more, call (858) 454-7108 or visit lajollaunitedmethodist.org.
