SeaWorld San Diego announced a new attraction for summer 2011 that will highlight up to 60 threatened or endangered sea turtles. In addition, the attraction will feature thousands of tropical fish and will include a large underwater viewing window. Turtles in the attraction’s nearly 300,000 gallon aquarium will include some more than 50 years old. The attraction will have interactive elements including a gaming wall and touch screen map where guests can track sea turtles in the oceans. There will also be a ride perfect for “tweens” who can spin in boats on their own rescue mission. SeaWorld officials said they will break ground for the attraction this month and construction will be complete in the summer of 2011.
