Members of the Ocean Beach Historical Society will take a trip back in time with guest speaker Lynn Izidoro Guidi during the next regular meeting of the society on Thursday, Oct. 21. Guidi will speak on “The Portuguese: 100-Plus Years in San Diego.” Guidi, who was born and raised in Point Loma, is a first-generation American whose parents immigrated from Portugal’s island of Madeira in the 1950s. She has served on the United Portuguese SES board as president and director. Her program is expected to include many historic photos.
