Jazz fans won’t want to miss the Danny Green Trio, appearing as part of the Athenaeum’s Mini Concert Series, on March 21 at noon. Featuring pianist Danny Green, bassist Justin Grinnell and drummer Julien Cantelm, the band is promoting its latest album, “Altered Narratives,” a terrific follow-up to 2015’s “After the Calm,” which won in that year’s Best Jazz Album category at the annual San Diego Music Awards. This free, all-ages performance will delight anyone who enjoys classic Blue Note-style jazz, Mancini soundtracks and virtuoso musicianship.
