Point Loma head football coach Mike Hastings recorded his 150th career victory with last Friday night’s homecoming win. Hastings has coached at PLHS for 26 years, 22 as head coach. “With all the coaches and players I’ve been blessed with it’s just really special to accomplish it tonight with this group of young men,” Hastings recalled. “I love them very much and it’s never about me but about us. That’s the EMAP (Every Man A Pointer) concept. But it’s special.” Hastings was surprised after the game when he was interviewed by his daughter Kylie, a PLHS senior, who is interning at KUSI’s Prep Pigskin Report.
