In the early afternoon of April 23, an alleged drunk driver in a white pick-up truck traveled at a high rate of speed up Cañon Street in Point Loma, fish-tailed near Willow Street, sideswiped a car coming down Cañon Street, left the road and flipped. The truck then hit a tree, two concrete walls, two other vehicles parked in their driveways and a utility box, then landed upside down in the middle of Cañon Street. No one was killed or seriously injured, according to witnesses, and the driver escaped the crash with a cut on his lip.
