La Jolla resident Mark Schindler is no doubt glad to see his waving dog Farmer again – but for an interminable time on Saturday, April 25, it seemed as though the two might no longer cross paths. Schindler, 60, was in Nepal’s Katmandu Valley when a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit, killing 6,000 at the latest count. Thousands are unaccounted for even as aid is reportedly trickling in to the most remote villages. Please visit us next week as La Jolla Village News brings you Schindler’s story.
