As the day wanes, attendees enjoy a seaside concert in the famed courtyard at the Salk Institute, 10010 N. Torrey Pines Rd.
The annual “Symphony at Salk” fund-raiser will be held Saturday, Aug. 26, featuring Irish tenor Ronan Tynan.
The evening includes tours of the noted institute designed by Louis Kahn, a gourmet box supper and the concert. Artist Francoise Gilot-Salk, widow of the late Jonas Salk, will once again chair the gala.
