The native La Jolla band, AfterShock Seven, will play a free concert at Barfly on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. The six-man band plays classic covers as well as new hits. Headed with vocals by La Jollan Dr. Jill Nooren, the back consists of Dave Stone, JoJo Hahn, Larry Vajna, Robb Critney and TJ Weklak. “Their music sounds just like the real thing,” said Oved Haskal, owner of Barfly. The nighclub and sportsbar is located at 909 Prospect St.
