Lifeguards recovered a body off the coast of La Jolla on Sunday morning. Officials report that the body is that of Taylor Watts, 27, who fell off the Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach on Jan. 21. Watts, an aspiring musician, reportedly hit his head as he fell from the pier. Lifeguards, divers and helicopters searched for Watts for several days.
People riding in a private boat spotted a body in the water more than 2 miles from the shore.
