A woman was seriously injured when she fell about 70 feet off a cliff in La Jolla early Monday, Nov. 17, authorities said.
The fall off Coast Walk, near the intersection of Park Row and Torrey Pines Road, was reported at 5:50 a.m., according to a San Diego fire-rescue dispatcher. About a half-hour later, the woman was flown by helicopter to Scripps Memorial Hospital, the dispatcher said.
San Diego police said the woman landed on rocks near the water’s edge.
