City Council President and District 1 Councilman Scott Peters welcomes attendees to the July 20 celebration of renovated Fire Station 13, 809 Nautilus St., as seen through the inside entrance.
The La Jolla Sunrise Rotary Club raised more than $450,000 in cash and in-kind donations to improve the station, built in 1976 as a temporary structure.
The station now includes separate sleeping quarters for firefighters and a day room.
