Attendees peruse the handcrafted bowls available at the May 17 Empty Bowls Lunch at the United Methodist Church, 6063 La Jolla Blvd.
The second annual event raised funds for TACO (Third Avenue Charitable Organization), which feeds the homeless and working poor.
For a $20 donation, each guest bought a bowl and had it filled with a variety of delicious soups donated by area restaurants.
