Hundreds of surfers took to water around the Ocean Beach Pier on Sept. 18 for the 20th annual Paddle for Clean Water event hosted by the San Diego Surfrider Foundation. The free paddle is a non-competitive event designed to bring the community together in the name of clean water and a healthy environment by encouraging participants to use any form of human-powered paddlecraft.
