Grace Slick, former rock singer with Jefferson Airplane and now artist, chats with patrons during a March 31 reception for her art exhibit at Wentworth Gallery, 1025 Prospect St. A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Slick retired from music in 1989 and now paints some of her old friends, such as Jerry Garcia, Mick Jagger and Janis Joplin.
