Beautiful Mission Beach is a staple in the community as its focus on keeping it a beautiful and clean place for residents and tourists. Now the group is taking a new approach to add value to the area by holding an “Endless Summer Walk the Block Party” in partnership with The Patio Group and American National Investments to raise charitable funds for beach cleanup and beautification. Beautiful Mission Beach invites everyone to attend a walk the block fundraiser on Aug. 11 from noon to 4:30 p.m. (with raffle starting at 3:30 p.m.) on Mission Boulevard in the heart of Mission Beach to celebrate the local businesses that make the community great while raising funds to preserve the gorgeous beaches.
“The idea behind this event was to bring awareness to our cause, allow guests to experience some of the companies that are pillars of the Mission Beach community, have a great and memorable day before summer wraps up, and raise funding to help keep our beautiful area safe, clean, and a place that’s great for locals and tourists alike,” said John Vallas, CEO and founder of Beautiful Mission Beach.
The Endless Summer Walk the Block Party will give participants the fun in the sun summer experience found in an area like Mission Beach. Incorporating such aspects as delicious food samples, photo ops, activities for the whole family, info booths, all-day happy hours, contests, a raffle, and a variety of music, this event is sure to make you want the summer to never end.
Business owners know how important it is to keep Mission Beach in top condition and when the opportunity came to give back, companies like Surf Rider Pizza Co., Patio Express, Saskas, Olive Cafe, Single Fin, Swell Coffee Co, The Surf Life, Luv Surf Vacation Homes, and Miss B’s Coconut Club immediately pitched in. “Beautiful Mission Beach is not alone in their love of the community and the hard work and efforts made by this charitable organization are supported by many but these businesses go above and beyond in their support of the beach cleanup cause,” said Vallas.
In conjunction with Endless Summer Walk the Block Party, there will be a beach cleanup near Belmont Park scheduled for 9 to 11 a.m. to further promote and educate locals on the organization’s endeavors and impact.
