Talia Ceravolo releases new album and other upcoming shows

Already making a major impact in San Diego with her paintings, singer-songwriter artist Talia Ceravolo is releasing her first solo album, “Dirty Seeds” with a live performance at The Turquoise on April 6.

Backed by a simple guitar picking style, Ceravolo, has a wonderfully plaintive voice with a strong sense of melody, bringing out the sadness and emotion in her lyrics, as heard on her debut single, “If You Follow Me.” The singer-songwriter field is crowded these days, but Ceravolo has a winning combination of hooks and musical stories. Fans of Sarah McLachlan or such radio-friendly fare will find much to enjoy in Ceravolo’s songs.

Talia Ceravolo: Saturday, April 6, at The Turquoise, 873 Turquoise Street. 7 p.m. 21 and up.
