Elvis tribute band Suspicious Minds appears at Tio Leo’s on Feb. 26. The Elvis heard here is from the Las Vegas era, and Suspicious Minds put out an excellent revue, cloning a show the king of rock might have done circa 1972. In addition to frontman Todd Torres, the band also includes guitarist Jeff Boggs, bassist Ken Wilson, keyboardist Kevin Parke and drummer Jim Manning, with music from throughout Presley’s career. The early tunes such as “That’s All Right Mama” are solid, but it’s the later material, such as “Burning Love,” where the group really shines.
Suspicious Minds: Friday, Feb. 26 at Tio Leo’s, 5302 Napa St. 9 p.m. 21 and up. Cover to be determined. tioleos.com.
