Median cleanups make a difference
Driving on Regents Road or Genesee Avenue in University City, you’ll notice that the medians are free of weeds, unlike many other areas of the city. The recent median cleanups on Regents and Genesee are examples of the use of membership dollars paid to the University City Community Association (UCCA). Because of this year’s heavy rains, weeds are now growing overhead in many of our city roadways. UCCA took the initiative to contract a cleanup crew to eliminate the unsightly weed growth in the community’s entry and exit roads. UCCA funds made this project possible, as well as supporting UC Celebration, EdUCate!, local school events, Standley Park Holiday Party, median maintenance, Friends of the Library and much more.
