The Sharp Senior Resources Center is offering help for those experiencing intermittent or chronic low-back pain or stiffness because of osteoarthritis or other reasons. Sharp rehabilitation outpatient orthopedics therapists will discuss self-treatment strategies that may help ease or prevent low-back pain. The discussion will include instruction on proper posture and body mechanics, therapeutic exercises and use of heat or ice. The next installment of Friday Night Liberty is set to pay tribute to a galaxy far far away and will feature traditional Mexican performances, as well as hosting the Vixen Pop Up Event of the year.  FX Dojo pays a creative tribute to Star Wars with a group exhibition of 70-plus artists who pay homage to the science fiction opera that defines a genre; happening at Barracks 17. Vixen presents a pop-up fashion, art, music collaborative at the North End (2835 Perry Road), and visitors can see free dance performances by Baja’s most talented artists from 6 to 8 p.m. at Barracks 17 Plaza. Flat Seven Productions presents the San Diego premiere of Charlie Jirkovsky’s rocker musical comedy “Sheila,” a production that began July 18 and runs through Aug. 3 at The Ocean Beach Playhouse, located at 4944 Newport Ave. The production contains adult language and situations and is not suggested for children, according to producers. Shows take place Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission; students and seniors are $18.To purchase tickets, visit sheila.bpt.me.

Neighbors are invited to join the wildly popular Pizarro Brothers for an evening of fun, original compositions and music of many genres at the Point Loma Assembly, located at 3035 Talbot St., at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include refreshments and fun raffles, including the Pizarro Brothers themselves. The Pizarro Brothers have composed new music and are looking forward to sharing it with a crowd of music lovers.
