Hotel sweetens the deal
Talk about a partnership made in heaven, now that Estancia La Hotel & Spa has signed a deal with the La Jolla Playhouse that includes luxury accommodations and theater tickets.
“First, they are our neighbors and very accessible to our customers, plus it is a great opportunity to offer our customers an activity that adds value to their stay,” said Dave Gerdes, regional director of sales and marketing for the Estancia. “And lastly, maybe less obvious, they validate our property as being a quality facility.”
The La Jolla Playhouse Package includes luxury accommodations in an Estate Room, two tickets to a show, plus the hotel will feature a customized, pre-fixe “Theatre Menu.”
“This is a good business practice; partnering with other successful businesses in order to expand their reach and customer service,” Gerdes said. “We are excited that we have similar clients and that we’ll be able to work together on future promotions “” it’s called win-win.”
The Estancia La Hotel & Spa is located at 9700 N. Torrey Pines Road. For information, visit www.estancialajolla.com.
Windermere helps honor Chargers player
Windermere Pacific Coast Properties teamed with San Diego Chargers player Roman Oben to benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters of San Diego County during an Oct. 13 event at Liberty Station.
Windermere agents donated a portion of their commissions to the program, and their time during the companywide “Community Service Day” at 2468 Historic Decatur Road.
Oben, an active Big Brother, was honored as this year’s Big Brothers/Big Sisters “Man of the Year.”
Big Brothers/Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States, according to organizers.
The organization has been a leader in one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. The program mentors children between the ages of 6 and 18 from single-parent households.
“Many children are placed on waiting lists for years before a suitable mentor can be found,” said Brian Arrington of Windermere Pacific Coast Properties.
