1. Take a Minute To Relax Everyday:
Slow down, put your feet up and breathe deeply. Even if you can only relax for 15 minutes, you’ll be better equipped to handle the day.
2. Set Boundaries:
Remember, you can’t do it all. Plan to only do the holiday activities you really enjoy. Even if it’s a creative task like making cards or baking cookies, if it feels like a burden, try and let it go.
3. Take a Yoga Class:
Yoga is a great stress reducer and helps put your mind and body back into balance. It’s also a great way to maintain physical exercise that can get sidelined during the holidays.
4. Find Joy In Simplicity:
Remember, the simplest things can sometimes mean the most. For a little while, forget the plans and presents and experience the precious moments.
5. Make a Gratitude List:
Make a list of people and things you are grateful for. Taking a moment to reflect and feel gratitude can put the things you’re stressing about into perspective, thereby lifting their weight off you.
6. Unwind With Massage:
De-stress and stay healthy during the holidays. Massage can help you let go, breathe deeply, and bring you back to balance. If your feet or back hurt from standing while cooking or shopping, ask for extra time on those areas. Studies show massage even boosts the immune system!
Relieve stress, stay healthy, and enjoy this holiday season!
